One-man, solo jam
Influenced by the likes of Keller Williams, Phish, and The Grateful Dead, Prophessor brings a unique flavor to his solo acoustic performances. He is a proficient at the art of looping. Using Percoustix© electronic percussion pads to create his own rhythm section, Prophessor will turn one instrument into what sounds like a full band. His unique take on hit songs, deep cuts, pop classics is what separates Prophessor from other solo acoustic acts.
Although his musical tastes were heavily influenced by his father during his formative years, it wasn’t until he saw his first musicals that Prophessor realized that he wanted to be a musician. Prophessor knew he could sing, so he chose the guitar to accompany his vocal abilities and joined guitar club in school where he met some of his future bandmates.
He began attending local open jams and was invited to play one night with local musicians who knew he could “hang” musically. A master of improvisation, Prophessor likes the chaos of not knowing how things will play out. Always thinking of different musical arrangements for well-known songs and the skill of improvisation means he can arrange them in ways that takes the listener through a musical journey each time he sets foot on a stage.
Experience Prophessor in his one-man jam band and as the lead vocalist and guitarist for the Jam Band, Buffalo Velcro, and as a co-lead vocalist and lead guitarist for Myles Deep Band around Southern Maryland.
